THE CARL DIXON GUESTBOOK
Hi Carl. Diane just informed me that your dad passed away. She told me about the tribute show you did on Rock Garden. I'm sure it was a very special show. I am so sad at this recent news. Treasure those happy moments you 2 had. I'm so sorry Carl. Your family will be in my thoughts always. Take care!
Thank you, Lori. My Dad often looked in on the website and mentioned a couple of times "that nice Lori from Florida checks in regularly." C.D.
Happy New Year to you Carl and your family. Great way to "re-introduce" yourself to family/fans/friends especially this being a New Year. What a great idea for all of us to do this. Any thoughts about coming down to the Orlando area and performing? God bless
Jan, If I can find a way in to Orlando I'm so there. Thanks and Happy 2010!
Hey Carl;
Happy New Year to you & yours.
I see a date for you, Feb 19 at Rock n Roll Heaven. Is this a solo show or band show? Hoping to get there.
KJJ
That's the band, Kev. Come stare at us if you can get there. cheers, C.D.
Happy New Year, Carl! May 2010 find you continuing to improve and most especially bring you back to our beautiful state so we can enjoy your music in person once again!
Glad to hear things are going so well for you! Keep warm and enjoy your new year.
Hi Carl, hope your recovery is going well. I just thought i would tell you that i still send friends Coney Hatch vids and they still love them. I was your greatest fan and never did get a chance to see you. Just wanted to tell you the song Fantasy changed and helped me through a lot of shit in my early days but i always dreamed of a good life and without that song i do not think my life would be as wonderful as it is, sure there are tough time but thats life. The little things like that song just help so much, and i thank you and the band.GOD BLESS and never stop rockin because i can't, thank you so much!!!
I'm very happy to read this. A message like yours reminds me why I do this, Jimmy. The power of music is deeper than we know. Best wishes, mate. C.D.
It's nice to see that you have turned another corner Carl. What a great way to start a new year. I wish you and yours all the happiness your hearts can hold. I hope you will bring your talents North again some day.
All happiness to you too, Marilyn. I'll see if Hunk will have me back again sometime! C.D.

Hi Carl,
Happy Birthday and I hope your holiday was great.
I don't envy the snow that you are in, Fla is a little chilly these days. Hope all is well take care and all the best to your family.
Love always your friend,
Marilyn
ps: Our prayers are still with you
Hi ya Carl!
Just wanted to say a Merry Christmas and an insanely good and wonderful 2010 to you and your excellent family!
Also thank you for being so kind and such a remarkable inspiration as this hippy with forearm crutches tries to make the CD I always wanted to..I loved being a singer in bands but I found that, having 4 other cats to work with, you don't always get to express yourself in the way that is inside your heart and soul..well now I CAN & I WILL!..the Soo misses you! Please come here and give us a show we need rock and roll the way it was meant to be played and to see one of our own that made it and continues to make it every time he does a show or releases a CD..if you need any help booking a room let me know I also handle that for a few acts!
Take it easy brother and please for the love of all things right and good continue sprading your message that everything and anything can be beaten..the world needs more heroes like you!
Donny
Donny, I am humbled and grateful for your message. It is incredible to hear that I have had that kind of effect on someone. Carry on with your adventure, brother. C.D.
Great update & pictures on the homepage Carl. Someone loves snow! I'd give anything for a blizzard, over a hurricane
So happy to hear you're healing and moving forward from everything that happened. And thank you for mentioning Hanukkah. Made me smile.
Sorry to hear about your tap dancing
Hopefully you can still ice skate and play hockey.
I was unable to hear your birthday show Tuesday night. Slow computer connection makes it choppy and it stops every few seconds. Maybe one day I'll find a job, get some money, and buy a laptop so I can listen to you each Tuesday. You hiring by any chance?
Take care Carl, and a very merry Christmas to the whole Dixon family! May 2010 be wonderful for you.
Thanks so much Lori. It's nice to have you staying in touch. Good luck with that job search. At the moment I already have all the elves I require. Love, C.D.
Dearest Carl,
First, a couple wow's are in order. Wow, that was a lot of snow in those email pictures! And, wow, you're looking good! I'm SO relieved to hear that the healing is speeding along. That's some of the best news that you could share. It IS time for you to get back to life, I agree! Chop, chop!
Speaking of getting back to life, I'm going to make a few phone calls and see if I can get any leads for you down here. I've also got a couple emails into B.E. to see if they work this far south and/or if any collaboration would be possible. If anything interesting turns up, I'll pass the information along somehow. You've got friends and family down here that are jonesing to see you, not to mention a new audience out there that needs to hear your motivational words and songs!
In case you're still collecting suggestions for a title for your next CD, I think "No Looking Back" would be quite a positive statement for your current position in life. It's definitely time to look forward, not backwards.
I hope you have a very happy and peaceful birthday with your family. Enjoy your drinks tonight. And, by the way, I can't believe that I have been missing these radio shows of yours. I caught the one last night and it just made my whole week. You can bet that I'll be glued to my computer on Tuesday nights from now on!
Happy Christmas and New Year to you!
P.S. My camera is all ready for that photo shoot!
Thanks Renee, for all those thoughts! The snow is fun, but if there was an opportunity to come and see you all in Florida I'd be right there. Glad you liked the Rock Garden, and thanks again for all your great photos over the years. Merry Christmas, m'dear.
Carl

...And happy holidays to you,Cheryl
Carl, i just wanted to wish you & your family a very merry Christmas, and hope the new year brings about more healing, less surgery and pain, and of course good luck on current and future projects.I'm so thankful to be touched by your talented flair in music and get to enjoy it on a daily basis. your music on my mp3 player really helps at work especially on long nights. Take care my friend! Dan Hart
Thanks Dan, and to you as well. C.D.
Mom and I are so angry & sad right now. I just have to write out my feelings to someone. Guess what? Your name got pulled from the hat. Our favorite soap opera (and only one we watch) is "As the World Turns." The people living in Oakdale become your second family. You almost feel like inviting them to your house for Thanksgiving, or mailing them Christmas cards. We began watching when Peter Noone was on the show as Paddington. All because Mom loves to drool over Peter, that we began watching this show. And when he left, we kept on watching, curious as to what was going to happen next. We saw many marriages, remarriages, baby switch storylines, TV's first gay couple, kidnappings, etc. You always wanted to know how many more times Paul or James could rise from the dead. Who will Dusty help? What trouble will Alison cause? Will Carly & Jack reconnect? So many questions! I just learned today that ATWT will end September 2010. How?! Why?! It's not fair. Are you laughing at me? Thinking to yourself "it's just a TV show." Hand me a box of tissues please. I am heartbroken. Even if you are laughing, thanks for taking the time to read this, and maybe reply to it. Boo-hoo
There will be no laughing at you from this corner, Lori. We all have things that bring us joy and that we look forward to. It's hard when those things end or change, but as George Harrison wrote, "All Things Must Pass". You have invested your emotions into ATWT for a long time, and it hurts to think of losing it. No doubt something new will come along to fill that void. Look forward to whatever that may be! Love to you and your mom, Carl
Hi Carl,
I hope this note finds you and the family well. Are all the surguries over yet?, Hope so. Xmas is here, Our daughter is home from Perth,Australia with our new grandson, so it will be a very special Xmas in our home this year. Hope to see you in the new year on stage somewhere. Keep in touch with tour dates. All the best to you & the family for Xmas & the New Year. We are looking forward to hearing new tunes from you soon.
Take care my friend.

Thank you, Marilyn. I'll get back there one day, I promise. Your friend also, Carl
P.S.
I found Coney Hatch songs on Grooveshark and have created a playlist. Such good music! So, for anyone else that wants to listen online, check it out!
Dearest Carl,
I hope this finds you continuing to get a little better each day. You know...you were in my dreams last night. I recently visited the site hoping for an update and next thing I know you were on stage in my dream, just singing away. It was good to see you happy.
Will you have an update for us soon? I know I'd love to hear how the new music is coming along and what you've been up to lately. I do miss Pompano, though, I'll admit. I know it was just one gig out of many for you (and not even the best gig at that), but it was such an awesome day for me. YOU ARE CERTAINLY MISSED. All the best to you, Betty and the girls!
Thanks so much, Renee. It is good to be missed, little sister. We have GOT to do another Florida photo shoot! I appreciate the supportive thoughts and I echo them. Love, C.D.

So sorry to learn recently of your accident. You might not remember me, however you the The Guess Who performed in our club in June/07 during the 100year old "FLOOD"?? You made it very special while performing solo through out the club until we finally brought a piece of the stage inside. Really enjoyed your talent and your overall demenor in such a tough situation. You are a special talent and wish you all the best in your recovery and hope to get you back in Missouri. Peace, Rob

Hi Carl, just a quick hello and glad you're OK from someone who watched you playfully run down that embankment behind the Riviera Hotel in Las Vegas, breaking your arm in the process. I have a few pictures from the monitor board side stage. Shelski had to re-learn all the songs 'cause you were in pain!! Seems a common thread in your life my friend. Take care, glad you are on the mend. Would love to see you again. Your old stage guy, Sluggo.

Carl
Hey there Carl! I finally had time to sit down and read your update on your blog. It has started my day out on a great note! So glad to hear so many things are going great! Don't let the one setback with your leg take away all the other great things that are happening. Focus on those and enjoy them! You sure deserve them!! Get well and come back out West!!!
Greetings Carl, I am not sure if you remember Edie and I from the Red Wing 150th gig, but I wanted to say hi and tell you how much we appreciated your kindness whenever we talked to you. I have worked with many musicians over the years and you stand out as the most personable and genuine one I have ever met. I am so impressed with your positive attitude and your desire to continue to touch people's lives through your web, music and the book you are writting and your new speaking adventure. You are an inspiration to Edie and myself and to all of your friends, fans and family. You have been in our prayers and I will continue to pray for your most recent setback. I hope we can get together sometime in the future and we would love to meet your family that you have told us about. May God bless you and heal you!
Rick and Edie Sward
Dear Rick and Edie: I remember you very well. I was impressed with the huge effort you put forth to commemorate your hometown anniversary, as well as your sense of fun when we met again. I'm grateful for your good wishes and observations. They lift my spirits. May we meet again, my friends. All the best, Carl
